When Dom Pérignon prepared to release its 1995 vintage, the brand assigned each country a specific material to work with for the marketing of the cuvée. The United States was assigned plastic and Magrino was charged with creating a PR campaign to support the introduction. We identified modernist architect Richard Meier to collaborate and he created a limited edition of 300 lucite cases with stainless steel handles showcasing six bottles of the cuvée. Media coverage included W and Robb Report magazines, and the collaboration became the gift of the holiday season.

While well-respected Turks & Caicos resort Grace Bay Club had received extensive travel media coverage in recent years, an upcoming period of limited news required Magrino to develop an alliance that would reintroduce the resort into the media and consumer dialogue, as well as expose the property to new audiences. We suggested a collaboration with fashion designer Trina Turk, who ultimately designed an exclusive Grace Bay Club print available in three SKUs, which were sold at Grace Bay Club as well as Trina Turk boutiques throughout the U.S. The resort and this collaboration were featured in the fashion pages of Life & Style, Town & Country Weddings and The Los Angeles Times.

In an era of email and text messaging, the prestigious New York-based stationery engraver Dempsey & Carroll was looking for creative ideas to attract media attention and drive consumers to their retail store and website. Magrino identified and secured a series of collaborations across various vertical categories, including style expert Simon Doonan. Together, they created a limited-edition collection of notecards that reinforced the relevance of the Dempsey & Carroll brand. Due to Doonan’s relationship with Barney’s New York at the time of the collaboration, the alliance also resulted in a digital promotion to Barney’s customers and an in-store event at Barney’s on Fashion’s Night Out.
